National Competency Standard

The Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) serve as the official benchmark for workforce competence across sectors, ensuring alignment between industry needs, regulatory requirements, and professional capability. As a nationally recognized framework issued by the Ministry of Manpower, SKKNI defines measurable competency units, elements, and performance criteria that guide training, assessment, certification, and career progression. Strategically, SKKNI strengthens human capital competitiveness, enhances workforce mobility, and reinforces Indonesia’s food safety and food industry workforce in meeting national and global standards.

APKEPI actively contributes to the formulation and review of SKKNI specifically within food safety and food-related sectors. Through expert involvement, industry consultation, and technical harmonization, APKEPI ensures that competency standards remain relevant, practical, and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and international food safety frameworks. This strategic role supports the development of competent food safety practitioners and strengthens the integrity of Indonesia’s food system.
