Competence Based Training Program (CBTP)
Competency Based Training Program (CBTP) is a structured training framework developed to ensure that learning outcomes are directly aligned with defined occupational competency standards. The program is designed to build measurable knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required for effective performance in food safety roles across the food supply chain.
APKEPI develops and harmonizes multiple competency-based training curricula that are traceable to nationally recognized occupational competency standards. Each curriculum is mapped to specific units of competency, elements of competence, and performance criteria, ensuring clear linkage between training delivery and workplace requirements.
The CBTP framework emphasizes practical application, performance-based assessment, and evidence of competence rather than solely theoretical understanding. Training modules are developed to support workforce readiness, regulatory compliance, and certification pathways, enabling participants to demonstrate competence in real operational settings.
Through CBTP, APKEPI contributes to strengthening national food safety capacity by aligning professional development with competency standards and industry needs. The program supports structured career progression, workforce recognition, and enhanced consistency in food safety training delivery nationwide.
